On the August 26 daily program, we will talk regarding Netflix, which releases information on highly anticipated series. De Amazon which is preparing to buy the giant Electronic Arts and Xbox will not increase the prices of its consoles unlike PlayStation. The daily, here we go!
A takeover rumor
It’s still at the rumor stage, but it might well be that the giant Amazon is preparing to announce the takeover of Electronic Arts during the day. The information would come from the USA Today site which relayed the sources of Good Luck Have Fun. The info is not new, because some rumors of redemption corridors were to be expected. However, this is still a rumor so take it with a grain of salt. This takeover would notably make it possible to strengthen certain EA licenses, such as FIFA or The Sims, but also to have the possibility of one day seeing video game adaptations on the SVOD Prime Video service. We currently have no information on the Amazon / Electronic Arts transaction, and that’s normal since nothing is official yet.
Netflix news
With Netflix, fans of video games and anime are rather spoiled, like Tekken Bloodlines, Witcher, Bleach or Full Metal Alchimist. The announcement of the BioShock film by Netflix dates back to last February and had generated some reactions from the public. It was therefore yesterday that Netflix released new information on the feature film. We now know that the film will be directed by Francis Lawrence and the screenplay by Michael Green. A highly anticipated project, but which still has no release date. Another license will also be adapted in series and it will be Horizon Zero Dawn, the Playstation game. It will be Steve Blackman who will be in charge, no release date for this adaptation either.
Microsoft and rising prices
Yesterday, a terrible ad that did not please players appeared. The Playstation is increasing its prices to compensate for the cost of living which has increased dramatically. For the occasion, Microsoft reassures on these consoles, no increase will be planned on the Xbox Series X and S, they will therefore remain at the usual price. Unlike Sony, Xbox is doing pretty well in recent days, especially on the takeover of Activision Blizzard which is off to a very good start. But that’s not all, CEO Phil Spencer, takes advantage of the announcements, to also inform regarding the exclusivity. Exclusive Xbox games will be increasingly rare, as the big boss would promote crossplay for the enjoyment of players.
