At one point, the Bonnie & Clyde were tapped: “Nah, thank you sweetheart.”
The DH learns that following that of Ibrahim Akhlal issued at the very beginning of March, the Dutch justice has issued a new European arrest warrant once morest a Brussels resident, this almost a year following the extraordinary robbery perpetrated in Amsterdam at the headquarters of the precious metals company “Schöne Edelmetaal”. The hold-up had yielded a booty which had been estimated at 50 million euros.
If Akhlal cannot be found, Belgium will have no difficulty delivering the second to the Dutch: Ardian Petrovci, detained in Brussels where he has just been sentenced to 8 years in prison. Petrovci was on trial for a slew of armed robberies committed in 2019 with – already – a certain… Ibrahim Akhlal.

After which a group of hooded individuals burst into the buildings. Guards and employees were tied up. The thugs took away gold and precious metals. First estimated at 50 million euros, the loot has been revised downwards: 12 million, of which 4 have not been recovered.
But the affair turned to Berezina. Eight suspects were arrested by Dutch police, following a chase and a shootout that kept the Netherlands in suspense until the evening. One of the perpetrators was shot dead.
