€40m deal between West Ham and Lille for Onana

West Ham has been pushing for several weeks to secure the services of the Lille median, who appeared 41 times in the Dogues jersey last year (for only 1,689 minutes).

And the fourth offer made by the Hammers ended up convincing Losc who will receive 40 million €, bonus included. Onana would become the seventh most expensive Belgian in history, tied with Youri Tielemans (from Monaco to Leicester) and Axel Witsel (from Benfica to Zenit). Still, the transfer is currently far from complete according to the English press, since West Ham has not yet found a personal agreement with the player.

From the top of his 95 meter, Onana made his debut with the Devils in June, during the defeat once morest the Netherlands (1-4). He embodies the future of the Belgian midfield and went through Anderlecht, the White Star, Zulte Waregem, Hoffenheim or Hamburg before flying to Ligue 1 last summer, once morest 7 million €. Lille would therefore make a nice gain.
