Will prices at the pump drop a little? While a liter of gasoline flirts with two euros at most service stations, from this Friday, several major retail brands are launching their gasoline operations at cost price. If they refused to sell at a loss, the distributors chose another option, that of not making a margin. Motorists will thus be able to save a few cents per liter. So, in which brands can you benefit from it?
Carrefour
The Carrefour brand will offer, starting this Friday, “the largest fuel sales operation at cost price of [son] history”, as the brand explains on are not affected.

E.Leclerc
Like Carrefour, the mass distribution giant E.Leclerc will allow motorists to pay for their gasoline at cost price every day, until the end of the year. “This initiative is an act of solidarity with all customers frightened by the increases and whose purchasing power is very impacted,” explained the president of the E.Leclerc group, Michel-Edouard Leclerc, on X.
The service stations of 750 of the brand’s hypermarkets are affected. Only a few stores will not participate in this operation, such as the Gap, Castelnaudary, Vallauris or Bayonne hypermarkets. Their complete list can be found ici.

Intermarché
As for the Intermarché brand, a first fuel operation at cost price is organized this Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30. The brand published the list of all stores concerned. Other one-off operations will take place on October 27 and 28, November 24 and 25 and December 15 and 16.

Super U
In Système U group stores, the cost-price fuel operation will take place on the first weekend of each month starting in October. The first will take place on October 7 and 8.
Casino
Casino will sell gasoline at cost price every weekend until October 22. The first operation is organized from this Friday and until Sunday. The service stations of the Casino #hyperFrais and Géant Casino stores are affected. Their complete list can be found ici.
For their part, the Auchan and Cora groups have also committed to selling their fuels at cost price, without providing a date for their operations.
