Dyson China released the strongest wireless vacuum cleaner to date on the 21st: G5 Detect (the model in other regions is V15 Detect), redefining “the strongest vacuum cleaner in history”.
How strong is the strongest suction?
What defines the strongest? For vacuum cleaners, it’s the motor. The Dyson vacuum cleaner digital motor is the heart, and the heart is updated to the fifth generation, called the “G5 digital motor”. Flip the switch and you’ll get up to 262AW of powerful suction. Compared with the previous generation, the suction power is increased by 13%. That’s no small number, the motor revs up to 135,000 rpm, up to nine times faster than an F1 engine.
Of course, it is not called Dyson if you only pursue “the best in the world”. Behind the efficiency is quality and experience. Not only does the speed rotate faster and the suction is stronger, but the new design also makes it smaller. The main shaft is 6 mm shorter, multiple parts are combined, and the motor system is more compact. Optimizing thermally conductive materials and turbulators allows the motor to spin faster and cool faster. The battery life is also up to Dyson’s “longest time”: 70 minutes.
The first Dyson vacuum cleaner that can suck up viruses
Here’s why a lot of people will want to buy it: The G5 Detect is the first vacuum cleaner proven to lock out the H1N1 virus. The H1N1 virus is one of the influenza A viruses and the most common influenza in humans. When an infected person coughs or sneezes, it can be passed on to others, and the virus can live on mobile phones, desktops, floors, etc. for a period of time. The new coronavirus and influenza virus are completely different viruses, the former is the family Coronaviridae and the latter is the family Orthomyxoviridae.

From the same Dyson’s strongest “Fluffy Optic optical detection” technology, the upgraded optical soft velvet roller suction head can illuminate twice the invisible dust, and the range is extended to 30 cm, not only the dust is more “visible to the naked eye” when cleaning, but also visible farther. G5 Detect also adds a more direct LCD screen, which instantly displays 4 sizes of particles. The bar graph can see the change of particle concentration, and you can also see the dust statistics. You can immediately know the cleaning power and how many places to clean.
According to Dyson’s “Global Dust Research Report” this year, 52% of Chinese respondents will only clean when they see dust with the naked eye, which is 17% higher than last year. So 31-year-old James Dyson spent 4 years, made 5,127 prototypes, and finally succeeded in making a prototype cyclone vacuum cleaner. Using centrifugal force, air and dust rotate at high speed in the cone chamber, dust particles fall with gravity, and the separated air can be easily discharged from above. Of course, this result is obtained after thousands of failures.
