DYPA: 25,000 workers on new green skills scheme after record interest

Specifically, from Monday, September 16, when the applications began, until yesterday, Sunday, September 22, a total of 59,063 applications had been submitted, confirming the great interest of employees in new skills.

DYPA is implementing the largest-scale Continuous Vocational Training (CVT) program ever carried out in the country, with the aim of training and certifying 500,000 unemployed and employed people in digital and green skills, through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”.

The new action is implemented with the funding of the European Union – NextGenerationEU and aims to upgrade the knowledge, abilities and skills of employees of the private sector, in accordance with the needs of the labor market, in the context of the green transition of the economy.

The TVET programs will be implemented through the process of the training voucher system. Each trainee will attend a theoretical training program, with a total duration of 80 hours, of which 12 hours will be carried out with live training, at least 48 hours with modern distance training and up to 20 hours with asynchronous distance training.

The training will be followed by certification of knowledge and skills, through certification vouchers, and those who succeed will receive the entire training allowance amounting to 400 euros (gross).

Those who meet the participation requirements will be added to the Register of Beneficiaries and, after the Register is announced, they will be able to choose the training program they wish to attend from a list of more than 600 training programs offered by more than 200 VET providers.
