Dynamo Puerto FC drew 1-1 with Atlético La Cruz, in a match that was played this Wednesday, August 14, at the Francisco Massiani stadium in Puerto La Cruz, valid for the 17th date of the Futve 2 League.
The “Buffalo” team was unable to hold on to the minimal advantage it achieved in the first minutes of the match and ended up with a split of points that leaves them without a victory after two rounds of the second phase of the tournament.
However, it is guaranteed to finish the date in third place in the Centro-Oriental Group with 27 points, after the fall of Deportivo Miranda, which has 26 points.
Quick advantage
The Portocruz team, led by Luis “Pájaro” Vera, quickly took the lead on the scoreboard. At 3′ they were already winning 1-0 with a goal from Jhonaiker Marchán, which allowed them to face the rest of the match with greater peace of mind.

Following a foul on the left flank, just a few metres from Dynamo’s area, Atlético La Cruz’s players became alert and charged quickly, catching the home defence off guard. After a shot that was rebounded by goalkeeper José Febres, Hernández took advantage to make it 1-1 in the 72nd minute.
With this result, the bulls have a general record of eight wins, three draws and five losses. They have accumulated 27 points that keep them in the qualification zone in the second division of Venezuelan football.
