Dynamo Puerto FC beat Bolívar SC 4-0 in a match corresponding to matchday 19 of the Futve 2 League and is now the leader of the Centro-Oriental Group with 33 points.

Harold Cortés was the star of the match played on Tuesday at the Francisco Massiani stadium in Puerto La Cruz. The player scored a pair of goals that paved the way for the “Búfalo” victory.

Luis “Pájaro” Vera’s team benefited from Marítimo de La Guaira’s 1-1 draw with Anzoátegui FC at Club Barcelona Sport to move up to first place in their zone.

Assault

Dynamo took an early lead in the match. Harold Cortés opened the scoring in the third minute with a header from a corner kick.

From then on the match remained even, with Bolívar seeking the equaliser at all costs. However, in the second half the Buffalo attack came with three goals that ensured the victory for the local team.

Cortés was once again the protagonist, as he took advantage of another corner kick to send the ball into the back of the net and make it 2-0 at 64′. At 72′, Víctor Rivero sent in a cross from the left wing that was headed in by Elvis Maldonado for 3-0.

At 90+3′ the icing on the cake came from Juan Monsanto. A clearance from the Portocruz defence caused the ball to reach the middle of the pitch and there the youngster controlled it to start a run towards the rival goal. After outpacing the Bolivar defender, Monsanto defined with class to beat the goalkeeper in the one-on-one.

Dynamo now has 10 wins, three draws and five losses, for a total of 33 points that place them as sole leaders of the Central-Eastern Group of the second division of Venezuelan football.

Draw

Anzoátegui FC and Marítimo de La Guaira tied 1-1 at the Barcelona Sport Club in the capital of Anzoátegui.

Rainniel Laporta put the Litoralenses ahead in the 40th minute, while Luis Martell scored the equaliser in the 87th minute to rescue a point.

The team led by Juvencio “Teto” Betancourt ended with a record of eight wins, six draws and four losses for a total of 30 points that keep them third in the zone. La Guaira is second with 31 points.
