This is reported on the official website UEFA.
The first meeting between the vice-champions of Ukraine and Scotland took place in Lublin, where Dynamo hosts their European Cup opponents this season.
Kyiv took the lead in the 38th minute, when Andriy Yarmolenko headed the ball into the goal from close range after Vladyslav Vanat’s cross from the right. “Dynamo” could not keep the victory and missed at the end of the game in the compensated time. “Rangers” was saved from defeat by Cyril Desser.
The next meeting will take place on August 13 in Glasgow.
In order to reach the group round of the Champions League, the teams also need to overcome the playoff stage, where the winner of the Ukrainian-Scottish pair will meet with the stronger team in the confrontation between the Austrian “Salzburg” and the Dutch “Twente”.
