Dynamo Dresden: Does Becker give Markus Beginning a second chance after the vaccination pass scandal?

Dresden – It would be a personality that cannot be surpassed in terms of explosiveness, but on closer inspection it makes a lot of sense: Holt Dynamo of Dresden Sports director Ralf Becker (51) his former promotion coach Markus Beginning (47) to the Elbe?

All of Germany watched for months after the surprise on November 20, 2021, just a few hours before the important game against FC Schalke 04 resigned from SV Werder Bremen.
The reason were Investigations against him and his assistant coach Florian Junge (36) for fake vaccination card. The Bremen health department had started it. Beginning initially protested his innocence until he finally confessed in Januaryfor actually getting a fake passport. Boy also confessed.
Beginning became one in March sentenced to a fine of 36,000 euros. The German Football Association (DFB) had already blocked the coach and his assistant coach in January until June 30, 2023 and also sentenced them to pay 20,000 euros at the beginning.
“In view of the confessions they have made, however, it is justified to suspend part of the ban on probation to give them the opportunity to make a new commitment for the 2022/2023 season,” said Hans E. Lorenz, chairman of the DFB court.

Probation for both will start on June 10, 2022 – and that could be the right answer to the question of why Dynamo is taking so much time to introduce the new coach.
Because that’s with Guerino Kids (40) would not continue after the descent was clear for a long time. In the background, Becker had been planning for relegation for quite some time.
And it’s no coincidence that he came across Beginning.
After all, they both came to Holstein Kiel in the summer of 2016 and had an extremely successful time together. The Storks were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2017 in their very first season under Markus Anfang.
Immediately afterwards they played a phenomenal season and finished third, even fought for promotion to the Bundesliga in the relegation against VfL Wolfsburg, but missed out on it after two defeats.

So Becker knows exactly what sporting qualities Beginning has to show and will also see the person with whom he has worked successfully for two years.
And that’s exactly what could make the restart in Dresden possible right now. Not out of Becker’s pity, but because the sports manager will be measured more than ever by his successes in the future and does not commit the “pig in a poke” right from the start, but knows exactly which coach he is putting on the sidelines.
Under normal circumstances, a commitment from the start in Dresden would have been unthinkable given his career for the third division.
In 2018 he moved to 1. FC Köln, but was released there shortly before the end of the season in first place in the second division. It was particularly hard for him at the end of April because his father Dieter only suffered a heart attack in the stands on April 10 during the catch-up game against MSV Duisburg in the Rhein-Energie Stadium and had to be put into an artificial coma.

Beginning feared for his father’s life for days. Almost a week and a half later, his father would be saved, but his son Markus would lose his job. It then continued in the 2020/21 season at SV Darmstadt 98where he got the maximum out of it and finished seventh.
But then there was a big fight with the “lilies”, because the beginning did not want to stay despite the contract and put public pressure to make his way to SV Werder Bremen to level themselves, finally the Hessians released the coach thanks to a fee.
And then there was the scandal about the fake vaccination cards. Beginning and Young submitted them to the Bremen Health Department because they did not want to be in quarantine after their player Marco Friedl tested positive. The office finally reported the two because the authorities had noticed inconsistencies in the passports.
Particularly piquant: Thanks to the fake passport, Beginning also celebrated the carnival on November 11th in Cologne under 2G+ conditions. On March 19, 2022, Beginning then spoke for the first time in Current gym at ZDFapologized publicly and said: “I can understand anyone who doesn’t want that and doesn’t accept it. You wish you could get a second chance, but I can’t wait for it.”
Now Dynamo could just be this second chance for Markus Anfang. In the coming week there will be clarity as to whether the 47-year-old will be in office for the black and yellow from June 10th, and thus the start of his probation, and whether the preparation will start on June 16th.
