Point of contention 83 minutes: Dynamos Park receives a yellow card from referee Martin Speckner for a swallow. Essen’s Björn Rother insults the Dresdener, Arslan pushes him away – and briefly steps on his foot behind the referee. Rother, thus provoked, resigns.
He sees red, Arslan gets off scot-free. Dynamos Top-Scorer describes his view of things following the game as follows:
“Rother is a player who provokes a lot and is also insulting. I’m one who doesn’t verbally shoot back. But a little wipe over the foot, I knew that something would come back from him. Anyone who hands it out must also be able to take it.”

The fact is that the referee did not see the action and therefore did not punish it. It is therefore a factual decision.
