Dynamo beat Nueva Esparta and moved up to second place in their group

Dynamo Puerto FC defeated Nueva Esparta FC on Thursday with a score of 2-0 and reached 30 points, to move up to second place in the Central-Eastern Group of the Futve 2 League.

The challenge, played at the Dynamo La Victoria stadium in Margarita, was valid for the 18th round of the tournament. It also allowed the “buffalos” to surpass Anzoátegui FC in the table, which fell to third place as it closed the round with 29 points after tying 1-1 with Deportivo Miranda.

Second half

Portocruzanos and the islanders did not hurt each other during the first half of the match. The goals that decided the match in favor of the team led by Luis “Pájaro” Vera came in the second half.

Danglar Calzadilla scored the 1-0 in the 58th minute, while young striker Juan Monsanto made it 2-0 in the 90+1′.

Dynamo now has a record of nine wins, three draws and five losses. With its 30 points it is keeping pace with Marítimo de La Guaira, which has 31 and occupies the top spot in the group.

Covenant

Also on matchday 18, Anzoátegui FC visited Deportivo Miranda at the Universidad Santa María de Caracas field. That match ended in a 1-1 draw.

An own goal by Luis Jiménez gave the home team the lead in the 40th minute, while Martín González equalised in the 62nd minute.

The Anzoátegui team now has 29 points, the result of eight victories, five draws and four defeats. It occupies third place in the Central-Eastern Group, so it remains in the classification positions.
