**Archyde:** Today,we’re thrilled to be joined by AdrianPokojny, the developer behind the sensationally smooth parkour gameplay that’s been turning heads online. Adrian, thanks for joining us!
**AdrianPokojny:** Thanks for having me.ItS been astonishing to see the response to the video.
**Archyde:** The footage is certainly impressive. Can you tell our readers a little about what inspired this project?
**AdrianPokojny:** I’ve always been a huge fan of parkour and games that focus on fluid movement. Titles like “Mirror’s Edge” truly captured the feeling of freerunning, while “Dying Light” and “Dark Messiah” added that visceral combat element that I found really compelling.my goal was to combine those elements into a fresh, unique experience.
**Archyde:** You mentioned “Mirror’s Edge”—that game is ofen lauded for its innovative parkour mechanics. How are you approaching movement and traversal in your project?
**AdrianPokojny:** I want players to feel truly empowered by the movement. We’re using a combination of motion capture data and meticulously crafted physics-based animations to make every jump, climb, and vault feel natural and responsive.
**Archyde:**
The video shows off some incredibly smooth animations. Can you give us a glimpse into the progress process?
**AdrianPokojny:**
It’s been a lot of work, that’s without a doubt! We’re building everything in Unity and are heavily focused on getting the feel just right. A lot of time has gone into fine-tuning the character controller and experimenting with different movement mechanics.
**Archyde:** You mentioned blending elements of combat from games like “Dying Light.” How does that play into the gameplay?
**AdrianPokojny:**
Combat is a big part of this project, but it’s not just about mindless button mashing. We want players to feel like expert martial artists, utilizing their parkour skills to gain an advantage in fights. Picture flowing from a wall run into a devastating combo, or using your habitat to outsmart enemies.
**Archyde:** It sounds like a truly unique gameplay experience. When can we expect to see more of this project?
**AdrianPokojny:** I’m aiming to release more dev logs and gameplay footage in the coming months. For now, I’m focused on finalizing the core mechanics and making sure the experience is truly extraordinary.
