With new single up Dylan Goff made an artistic change after releasing two indie-folk EPs.

On one hand, you hear the sound expand into a full indie band sound. According to Dylan Goff, the song was inspired by Frightened Rabbit, The National and The Pogues. The song is also colored and relaxed by occasional piano tones.

Synthesizers are added to the bridge, mixing a little bit of the ’80s into an indie band vibe.

In a second sense, the single also marked the transition from indie folk songwriting to pop songwriting. Both the verse and chorus are catchy, catchy, and melodic. “Get yourself up/Let yourself up”, Dylan Goff sings on the aggressive chorus, with a beautiful interval jump as the hook of the melody.

You sing along and the chorus never disappears – even if it’s repeated multiple times.

Despite its huge artistic strides, the single remains a classic, unmistakably Dylan Goff both lyrically and sonically. Dylan Goff writes in a very self-reflective way. Through Dylan’s access to himself, other listeners have access to the text, access to themselves, and access to the song.

In this respect, this song not only ties up the shoes, but is also a harmonious overall package.
