Dying Light 2: Techland hears the anger of players and will modify its store | Xbox One

Last week, Techland published a new version of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, notably introducing the arrival of a currency to use in the game store: DL Points. Unfortunately for the developer, the arrival of this feature has angered players.

Techland hears the players’ discontent

Rather than burying its head in the sand, the studio heard the discontent of the game’s owners and quickly reacted by promising changes to come. It is in fact through Twitter that Techland shared a publication to try to ease the tensions that have reigned on forums for several days.

So, rather than only offering bundles for sale, it will soon be possible to also obtain the items in these packs individually, always via DL Points of course. This solution would thus avoid encouraging players to repurchase DL Points following purchasing a bundle, in particular by liquidating the rest of the remaining currency rather than ending up with a surplus to complete.

Techland takes this opportunity to remind you that 500 DL Points can be collected for free in the store until October 7, giving you the opportunity to obtain the following packs for free:

Chicken Bundle : 450 DL Points Nightrunner Bundle : 450 DL Points Rais Bundle : 300 DL Points Brecken Bundle : 300 DL Points Nutcracker Bundle : 300 DL Points Dying Laugh Bundle : 300 DL Points

Unfortunately for the developer, this solution does not seem to be convincing in the eyes of players. According to many comments under the post, they simply want the in-game store and DL Points to be removed to once once more allow the purchase of bundles directly via the Microsoft Store, the PlayStation Store and Steam.

It remains to be seen how this matter develops. An “Ask Me Anything” session in the presence of Tymon Smektała, director of the Dying Light franchise, should also take place soon to answer questions from the community.
