4K, 60 FPS ou ray tracing

Last December, the teams lifted the veil on the PC configurations necessary to enjoy the game. We might in particular discover that it was necessary to be equipped with an RTX 3080 to hope to play in 1080 at 60 FPS with all the effects of ray tracing enabled.

Faced with such a configuration, it is not surprising to see that the console versions will offer three distinct graphics modes as expected.

The performance mode will allow you to play with a framerate of 60 FPS. Note that it is mentioned “60 FPS +”, which means that the framerate should not be blocked at 60 FPS and will in particular allow Xbox Series X | S players equipped with VRR compatible televisions to enjoy higher performance.

  • Quality mode (ray tracing)

As its name suggests, this mode will be dedicated to ray tracing and will allow you to enjoy rich graphics on new generation consoles. The framerate will be at 30 FPS while the resolution has not been communicated.

In this mode, it is the resolution that will be privileged and we will then be able to enjoy the game in 4K. The framerate will obviously also be at 30 FPS.

As a reminder, Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be available on February 4 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch (cloud) and PC as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is notably part of the Smart Delivery program.
