O iPhone 15 Plus has undergone battery testing carried out by DXOMARK. Even though it was launched three months ago, the analysis provides more details about the battery life, charging and general efficiency of the device.

According to the company, the iPhone 15 Plus stood out for its battery life. In moderate use, it lasted 2,5 dias before needing to recharge. Even throughout the night, the device lost less than 1% of power.

In specific scenarios, the analysis found that performance when watching videos indoors was above average. However, outdoor performance was a bit below average compared to other devices.

For DXOMARK, the model’s charging has improved compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Plus, but it still has some limitations. The 30W charger took 2 hours to recharge the device up to 100%, while the wireless charger took 2 hours and 52 minutes.

Furthermore, it is worth highlighting that, during the fast charging test, the iPhone 15 Plus only gained 3 hours and 42 minutes of additional autonomy — that is, below average in this aspect.

Wireless charging efficiency was good, but wired charging performed weaker at just 68% efficiency, meaning some power was lost.

The remaining power consumption after charging, both wired and wireless, was very low, which is positive. Finally, the device also performed well when discharging the battery, thanks to low power loss in most tests.

In the DXOMARK global ranking, the iPhone 15 Plus came in 45th place (131 points), but in the ranking of ultra-premium devices (priced above US$800), it stood out in the 12th place. To read the full analysis, simply access the company website.
