A 42-year-old passenger was killed in an accident, while the 30-year-old driver was seriously injured. The driver initially ignored the stop signs, but then stopped the vehicle briefly with the hazard lights on. Suddenly she accelerated the car and fled at high speed across Joseph-Beuys-Ufer in the direction of Cecilienallee. She passed several red lights, according to the police. The officers lost sight of her.
On Rotterdamer Strasse, the driver lost control of the vehicle for reasons that are still unclear, veered off the road to the left and crashed into several trees.
