Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had a meeting with Ebro Ozdemir, the chairperson of Lemak Holdings, a well-known Turkish company. In the meeting, investment in energy, infrastructure, tourism and construction sector in Pakistan was discussed. Miss Ozdemir will visit Pakistan soon for direct interaction with relevant stakeholders in Pakistan.
According to reports, the purpose of his visit is to finalize joint projects between Pakistan and Turkey for cooperation in increasing trade and investment. In the meeting, Miss Ozdemir also shared details regarding the Global Engineering Girls (GEG) project. The Global Engineering Girls Project is a project to provide education, mentorship and career opportunities to the next generation of female engineers, girls and women.

In Pakistan, this project will provide experience to women and girls in education, science, technology engineering and mathematics and enable them to improve their careers. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey Dr. Yusuf Junaid also participated in the meeting.
