On Saturday, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and Durek “Shaman Durek” Verrett will marry.
The wedding is held two years after they got engaged under an oak tree in California – but the shaman would have liked to propose earlier than that.
Durek Verrett, 49, had far-reaching plans for a grand Star Wars-themed proposal at Disneyland.
He had reached out to former Playboy model Holly Madison, who would help him get the plan off the ground, he tells Hello! Magazine.

“What would the family think”
But before he could carry it out, he was approached by Princess Märtha Louise, 52, who put her foot down.
– She can read my mind, he tells her Hello! Magazine and says that Princess Märtha Louise called him and “told him not to do it”.
– She said “My God, you were going to propose to me at Disneyland.” You can’t do that. Do you know what the entire royal family would think if you proposed to me at Disneyland? Although it is a cute idea, it is not ‘worthy of royalty’”.
Shaman Durek says he rounded off his future wife’s clairvoyant abilities by “thinking in five places at once.”
