On the final day of the 2022 World Championships in Athletics in Oregon (USA), men’s pole vault competitions took place.

Gold was won by the 22-year-old 2020 Olympic champion, world record holder and holder of the highest world outdoor achievement, the representative of Sweden Armand Duplantis. His best result is 6.21 meters, which is a new world record. The last world record was set by him in 2020 – 6.18 meters.

Silver went to Christopher Nielsen from the USA (5.94 m), and bronze to the representative of the Philippines Ernest John Obiene (5.94 m).

Recall that in the medal standings of the competition, athletes from the United States are leading, with 33 medals (13 gold, nine silver and 11 bronze). Ethiopia is second with 10 medals (four gold, four silver and two bronze). Kenya closes the top three with 10 medals (two gold, five silver and three bronze).
