Duplantis against Warholm: Unusual athletics duel in Zurich

Olympic champions and world record holders Armand Duplantis and Karsten Warholm will compete against each other in the 100-meter race on the eve of the Diamond League meeting in Zurich on September 4. The outcome of the sprint seems completely open.

The duo’s best times are not far apart: 400-meter hurdler Warholm achieved a time of 10.49 seconds in 2017, while pole vaulter Duplantis ran the 100 meters in 10.57 just one year later. The latter challenged the hurdler on social media, and he finally agreed to the exhibition competition between two superstars of the athletics scene.
