According to the Gumi Fire Department on the 23rd, at 4:53 p.m. on this day, a report was received through 119 that “a truck heading toward Okgye from Geumoh Engineering College got stuck in a tunnel bridge.” The accident occurred when a 15-ton dump truck was driving with its cargo compartment open and hit the lower part of the bridge.

In the video, a dump truck driving along Sanho-daero with its loading dock in place crashes into the lower part of the bridge while trying to pass through it. Due to this impact, the front part of the dump truck’s body was lifted and the truck became stuck between the bridge and the road.
Driver A is known to have had an accident while driving without locking the cargo lever after receiving vehicle maintenance service.
Firefighters who responded to the report rescued Mr. A, who was almost hanging in the air, and lowered the truck to the ground in two hours using two large tow trucks. Due to this accident, severe traffic congestion occurred in the area of the accident site.
It is reported that Mr. A did not suffer any major injuries. A fire official told Chosun.com, “The driver was in good condition, and they said they would visit the hospital in person, so they did not take him to the hospital separately.”
