Kochi: Film Exhibitors Federation rejects Fiok’s decision to ban Dulquer Salman Actor Dulquer Salman and his production company Wafer Films will not be banned and the actor’s films will be screened in theaters under the organization. The decision was taken at the executive meeting held today.
Ramdas, president of the Film Exhibitors Federation, told the media that there would be no ban on fan shows. He added that since the Fans Association is part of the film industry, he has no objection to hosting fan shows. Ramdas also said that films released on OTT will not be allowed to be shown in theaters once more. They have no estrangement from Dileep and Antony Perumbavoor. Federation officials said they welcomed the two to the organization. The group said there was a possibility of many returning from Fiok.
Meanwhile, Dileep and Antony Perumbavoor were reportedly fired by Fiok. Antony Perumbavoor had announced his resignation from Fiok last October amid controversy over the ODT release related to the Marakkar film. Antony Perumbavoor, the actor who is also the chairman of Fiok, had resigned from Antony Perumbavoor at the time, making it clear that he did not want to be the vice president of the organization.
