Due to the ravages of Corona virus, another famous Pakistani player passed away

Pakistan’s famous wrestler and former Olympian teacher Haji Muhammad Afzal Sher passed away after contracting the Corona virus.

Renowned wrestler Haji Muhammad Afzal died at the age of 85 in New York due to corona virus.

Haji Muhammad Afzal was born on 7 April 1935 and was awarded the title of Lion of Pakistan by the President of Pakistan Ayub Khan in 1960.

He participated in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics but withdrew from the event due to an injury in the semi-finals.

Recently, he was transferred to America due to ill health for a month, where he died today due to corona virus.

He is survived by four sons, three of whom live in America and one in Pakistan.

Olympian Mohammad Afzal taught many famous wrestlers and his famous students include Bashir Bholabhala, Taib Raza Awan Tiger wrestler, late Usman Majeed Balu wrestler.

Haji Mohammad Afzal also taught wrestling to Bilal Awan wrestler, Hafiz Israr wrestler and Yasir Abbas wrestler.

It should be noted that Muhammad Afzal is the third player of Pakistan to die due to corona virus.

Last month, the great squash player Azam Khan died in London due to corona virus.

This month, Zafar Sarfraz, brother of former first-class cricketer and former national team cricketers Akhtar Sarfraz, died due to Corona virus.
