Between April and June 2023, tractors represented 45.4% of total turnover, with $57,538 million pesos; implements reached a 23.9% share, with $30,273 million; the harvesters held a 15.7% share, with $19,862 million; and the seeders kept the remaining 15%, with $18,927 million.

“Regarding the participation of the different subgroups of implements, it is observed that the sprayers represent 40.3%, with 12,193.4 million pesos of billing; the other implements participate with 38.5%, with 11,661.1 million pesos of invoicing; and the implements for hauling and storage of grains, with 6,419.3 million pesos, represent the remaining 21.2%”, the INDEC technicians delimited.
The evolution of agricultural machinery sales in 2023
If the magnifying glass is placed on the sales dynamics of agricultural machinery in the first half of 2023, accumulated a turnover of $205,143 million, which reflects an increase of 66.8% compared to the first six months of 2022.
“Tractors present an increase of 118.8% in turnover in the period January-June 2023 compared to the same period last year. Implements increase 67.5%; harvesters, 55.8%; while seeders register a year-on-year drop of 4.2%,” detailed the entity chaired by Marco Lavagna.
At the same time, the total number of units sold, both domestic and imported, of tractors marked a slight rise of 0.7%, while the rest of the segments showed year-on-year falls: planters showed a retraction of 49.8%, harvesters contracted 32.3%; and implements fell 28.6%.
