Professor Luis Pinedo Piña, former director of Education of Loreto, recalled that the Regional Educational Project (PER), approved in 2010 during the administration of Yván Vásquez, was not implemented because the content was not disseminated and because of the poor quality of the 500 copies. that were developed, so it did not reach all schools.
Years later, Pinedo asked the then governor Elisbán Ochoa to be in charge of the last stage. In August 2021, more than 3,000 copies were printed, with the goal being to distribute 7,000 copies in different educational institutions.
“The Directorate of Pedagogical Management on which the PER depended, absorbs everything, at that time Luis Reátegui Dávila was in charge and they made limited dissemination and we went into the background. All of 2022 had to be implemented, the file was implemented but it was truncated due to political pettiness,” Pinedo criticized.
In its content, the PER has 12 policies that respond to urgent problems at the regional level, such as learning, risk management, literacy, connectivity, border education and rural education. In 3 policies the regional curriculum is mentioned, which will allow all the richness and diversity of Loreto to be worked on.
On behalf of the current management, chaired by Governor René Chávez, on April 28 the PER will be relaunched with the improvements made to its content from the sector.
“I attended two meetings that the formulating unit of the Regional Education Management called me to give them guidance on the document, and I went, I worked for free with them for a whole morning. That is what it is regarding, you have to put pettiness aside, ”he added.
