Aoita, the union that brings together the drivers of intercity passenger services in the province of Córdoba, launched a strike of activities for this coming Thursday, to complain regarding the lack of payment of the half bonus by the companies in the sector.

“We inform our colleagues, as well as the user in general, that the companies providing the public passenger transportation service have not paid the half bonus of the workers, whose payment deadline expired last Monday, December 18” , they noted in a statement released this Tuesday.

“Therefore, the Aoita Board of Directors informs that the workers of those companies that do not fully deposit the SAC for the second semester until December 20 at the latest, will retain tasks from the first minute of Thursday, December 21. December”, they highlighted.

The modality of the force measure will be “without assistance” to the jobs and “until the full payment of the half-due bonus is verified, all within the legal and constitutional frameworks that protect us,” they added.

According to the union, the strike “is purely and exclusively due to the non-compliance with salaries of the borrowing companies, these being directly responsible for the suffering of the service.”

And they clarified that those companies that duly comply with their salary obligations will provide services in a normal and habitual manner.

“We once once more urge the business representation to adjust their behavior and honor the salary commitments assumed, and must raise awareness with their own workers and with the user at such a delicate moment and in the face of the strong inflationary process that affects our country,” they closed the statement.
