Due to a closed overpass in Riga, bus routes No. 25, 55 and 56 are being changed

The changes are taking place because the transport overpass over the railway on Altonavas Street in Tornakalne was closed the day before as unsafe. As LETA was informed by the Riga City Council, during an inspection a possible dangerous deformation was discovered at the overpass built in 1910. Considering that there is a significant flow of traffic across the bridge, buses travel, and the railway under the bridge causes additional vibrations, it was decided to temporarily close traffic on the bridge until an in-depth inspection is carried out.

Bus route 25 in the direction of Abrenes Street will run along the route to the street. Terinyu, further along the street. Terinyu, st. Robezhu, st. O.Vatsiesha, st. Karl Ulmanja gatve, st. Liepaja, st. Marupes, st. Ojara Vatsiesha, st. Maza Nometnu, st. Barinya and further along the route. Bus route 25 will not stop at the stops “Arlavas Street” (on Terinu Street) and “Tukuma Street” (on Marupes Street), but on the bypass road it will stop at temporary stops “Arlavas Street” (on Robezhu Street) , “P. Stradiņa Hospital” (on Liepājas St.), “Marupes Street” (on Liepājas St.) and “Saules Alley” (on Marupes St.).

In the direction of Marupe and Tirayne, this bus will run along the route to Barinyu Street, further along the street. Barinyu, Maza Nometnyu, str. Oyara Vatsiesha, ul. Marupes, he. Liepajas, he. Karla Ulmanya Gatve, ul. Oyara Vatsiesha, ul. Ascites, he. Terinyu and further along the route.

Bus route No. 55 in the direction of Abrenes Street will run along the route to Terinu Street, then along Terinu Street, Robezhu Street, O. Vatsiesha Street, Karl Ulmanja Street, Liepājas Street, Marupes Street and further along the route. Bus route 55 will not stop at the stops “Arlavas Street” (Teriņu Street) and “Saules Alley” (Marupes Street), but will stop on the bypass road at temporary stops “Arlavas Street” (Robežu Street) and “Paula Stradiņš Hospital” (Liepājas street). In the direction of Jaunmarupe, it will run along the route to Marupes street, then along Marupes, Liepājas, Karl Ulmana gatve streets, Ojara Vatsieša street, Kantor street and further along the route.

At the same time, bus route No. 56 in the direction of Daugavgriva will run along the route to Terinu street, then along Terinu street, Robezhu street, O. Vatsiesha street, Karl Ulmanja street, Liepājas street, Marupes street and further along the route. Bus route 56 will not stop at the stops “Arlavas Street” (Teriņu Street) and “Saules Alley” (Marupes Street), but will stop on the bypass road at temporary stops “Arlavas Street” (Robežu Street) and “Paula Stradiņš Hospital” (Liepājas street). In the direction of Ziepniekkalns, this bus will run along the route to Marupes street, then along Marupes street, Liepajas street, Karl Ulmanja gatve street, Ojara Vatsieš street, Asites street, Terinu street and further along the route.
