Dubai International Airport (DXB) is expected to return to full operation within 24 hours of flooding caused by torrential rains on 14 April 2024.
The airport’s general manager of operations, Majed Al Joker, told the state-run WAM news agency that teams were working non-stop to repair the damage and reopen all facilities.

According to protothema, the authorities of the airport, which is a major travel hub, are trying to deal with the problem of delayed flights after the heavy rains that hit the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.

“Once operations are restored, we will assess the damage and be able to give a number on the magnitude of the losses,” Al-Joker told Al Arabiya television.
