Dubai> According to the figures released by the United Nations, Dubai has been ranked fifth globally and first in the Arab region in the list of digital governments. Dubai ranks as one of the best digital governments in the world in terms of institutional framework, content provision and service provision. The United Nations assessed the digital governments of 193 countries.
This achievement is another milestone in the journey that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, started two decades ago to make the emirate digital. The UAE has set a model of governance that embraces advanced technology and ensures happiness and well-being in all spheres of life.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansouri, Director General of Digital Dubai, said these remarkable results were made possible by the extraordinary commitment of government institutions and their talented teams. He noted that digital advancements have made it possible to achieve the goals of increasing efficiency, improving lifestyles and helping people live more sustainably, and as we reshape our world, data and artificial intelligence have become the pillars of sustainable smart cities.
