Dubai Police Junior and Youth Water Bike Teams Dominate International Championships with 60 Medals

The Dubai Police junior and youth water bike teams were able to win 60 gold, silver and bronze medals since the announcement of the establishment of the two teams nearly a year ago.

Major General Expert Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, praised the efforts of the two teams and the local and international sports championships they achieved, which strengthened the reputation of Dubai Police in the sports sector, and its keenness to promote the culture of sports as a way of life and sustainable practice among different age groups.

Brigadier General Dr. Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of the Ports Police Station, explained that the Dubai Police Youth Jet Ski Team includes 4 individuals between the ages of 16 and 21 years, while the Dubai Police Youth Jet Ski Team includes 6 juniors between the ages of 9 and 15 years. Since before their founding, they have been practicing jet skiing, and with the support of the Dubai Police, represented by the Ports Police Station, and the Sports Affairs Department in the General Administration of Community Happiness, they were able to win 60 gold, silver, and bronze medals, and obtain first places in several tournaments, most notably The UAE International Waterbike Championship, the Kuwait International Waterbike Championship, and the Polish World Waterbike Championship.

He thanked Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, for the interest and support he extended following its establishment, and to all partners, especially the Sports Affairs Department, and to the team in charge of following up and supporting the team’s affairs at the centre, represented by Colonel Rashid Thani Al-Ayel, and Lieutenant Salem Ahmed. Abdul Karim, the team manager, and the first agent, Rashid Suhail Al Tayer, the team coach.
