Dubai Customs continued its activities in the UAE Innovation Month 2023 by organizing a forum via visual communication technology on “Enabling Artificial Intelligence” under the supervision of the Services Innovation Department and the Information Technology Department, with the participation of specialists in this field representing major international companies for data and smart technologies.
In the opening speech of the forum, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs and CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, stressed that “the UAE is aware of the importance of developing and using artificial intelligence technologies and their positive impact on bringing regarding a developmental leap in the methods of providing government services, and the country is working hard to Accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies.

He added, “Artificial intelligence is a key component of the department’s innovation strategy within its strategic plan 2021-2026, and we are working to integrate applications of artificial intelligence technology within the digital transformation goals to make our services and procedures faster, smarter, and more effective around the clock, seven days a week, by supporting the efficiency of risk assessment.” Related to clearing shipments, goods, and people in customs work.
