Dubai – Emirates Airline and Fly Dubai kicked off the 18th Dubai Airshow with orders worth crores. Airlines in other countries have also placed huge orders. This is a sign that the aviation sector, weakened by the Covid pandemic, is slowly and strongly coming back. Fly Dubai has placed an order for 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners worth $11 billion. Moroccan national carrier Royal Air Maroc has ordered two 787 Dreamliners and Royal Jordanian four 787-9 Dreamliner jets.

The Latvian airline has signed an agreement to purchase 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft. Turkish budget carrier SunExpress has placed an order for 90 Boeing 737 Max aircraft. 1,400 companies from 95 countries lined up at the exhibition at Dubai World Central. The exhibition, which continues till the 17th, is not open to the public. But the public has an opportunity to watch the airshow which is held daily at 2 pm. Hundreds of people also came to watch the airshow. Apart from India’s Sarang and UAE’s Furzan Al Imarat, the air force aircraft of Italy and China also performed aerobatic teams.

Emirates orders 90 planes
Emirates Airline, the world’s largest long-haul airline, has placed an order for 90 aircraft. Of these, 55 will be Boeing 777X-9 and 35 will be Boeing 777X-8. 5 more Boeing 787 aircraft will be added to the Emirates range. The aim is to continue the invincibility in the aviation sector by increasing the service capacity. Including earlier orders, Emirates will have a total of 205 Boeing 777Xs. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Airline Group, said that the new planes will be available from 2025.
