Polygel tutorial: step by step explanations for using this revolutionary product and always having an impeccable manicure
Il polygel (also called acrylic gel o acrygel) is a product for nail reconstruction born from the synthesis of two other well-known reconstruction systems, the gel one (hard gel, indurisce in lampada UV/LED) and the acrylic one (acrylic powder/polymer + monomer, hardens in air). Acrylic gel does not drip like gel (indeed, it has an almost solid consistency) but just like gel it polymerizes in a UV/LED lamp and not in the air like acrylic. It basically takes the cool stuff of both products ????
I won’t go further because I have already dedicated an in-depth article to Polygel, 10 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT POLYGEL (ACRYLIC GEL), you can read it HERE
In fact, in this post I want to focus on how to make a nail reconstruction with Polygel, and to do this I have prepared a special video, a double tutorial with which I explain how to use the polygel in two ways:
- To lengthen natural nails or make a cover
- To make the French manicure
1. YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO APPLY POLYGEL WITH THE DUAL FORM:
2. YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO MAKE A FRENCH MANICURE WITH POLYGEL:
For both techniques I used the products Nail Studio Professional by Capello Point. As you know by now I have been collaborating with Capello Point e for many years I’m a fan of the Nail Studio Professional line, not only because they are professional products that are easy to find (you can buy them online on the Capello Point website but also in physical stores) but also because they excellent value for money, which you also confirmed to me on Youtube! ????
The products I used are:
- Bonder Gel (€12.99, 8g bottle WHO)
- Acrygel Dual Form (9,99 e 100 pezzi, WHO)
- Spatula/Acrygel Brush (€9.99 WHO)
- Modeling Solution (9,99 €, bottiglia da 100 ml WHO)
- Acrygel Natural for application with dual forms (€ 29.99 tube of 30 g WHO)
- Acrygel Light Pink and Snow White for French manicure (both tubes are 30 g and cost €29.99, WHO e WHO)
- Gel Cleanser Plus (7,99 €, bottiglia da 100 ml WHO)
- Top Coat without dispersion (€ 12.99, 8 g bottle WHO)
In the video you will therefore see 3 Polygels in action (natural, light pink and snow white) but I would like to point out that two other colors are also available: Cover Beige and Trasparent.
