Los Angeles, November 9 (IANS) Esteemed singer-songwriter Dua Lipa has made the difficult decision to cancel her highly anticipated concert due to “safety issues” concerning the staging, expressing her deep disappointment with her fans and stating that she is “heartbroken” over the unfortunate circumstances.
The talented artist was scheduled to take the stage in Indonesia as part of her much-celebrated Radical Optimism world tour, according to reports from ‘Mirror UK’, which detailed her excitement for the event.
Sadly, she confirmed that her performance at the Indonesia Arena – Senayan in Jakarta would not take place as originally planned, much to the dismay of her dedicated fans.
Dua conveyed the news through a heartfelt statement on her Instagram Story, revealing, “I am heartbroken to share that I won’t be able to perform in Jakarta this Saturday, November 9. I am there in your amazing country and ready to perform, but I am gutted to share that it has been determined that it is not safe for the performance to carry on due to safety issues with the staging.”
According to ‘Mirror UK’, the singer continued by expressing her feelings further, stating, “I was so looking forward to this night, and it truly pains me that we cannot perform for you all, especially after such a long time since my last performance in Jakarta.”
The Radical Optimism tour opened earlier this week in Singapore, marking a significant return for the artist to the stage. Her gig in Indonesia was meant to be the third concert on this much-awaited tour, with her next performance scheduled for the Philippines on Wednesday. Following that, Dua Lipa is set to grace venues in various countries including Japan, Australia, Spain, and Belgium in the months ahead, as she continues to share her music with fans around the globe.
