In round 19 of the ADMIRAL 2nd league, DSV Leoben narrowly won the top game against SV Ried 1-0.

It’s a disjointed affair for long stretches in the Monte Schlacko Arena. Both teams try to create chances, but the big opportunities don’t materialize.

Steurer had a notable finish for Ried in the first half, but his header didn’t find the target (33′). On the other hand, not much is coming from Leoben, the “Vikings” have top striker Deni Alar well under control.

The game picture doesn’t really change in the second half of the game either. Havenaar has an opportunity for Rieder shortly after the restart, but the defender cannot beat Wiegel with a header (47th).

After that, not much happened for a long time, until the 67th minute, when Deni Alar struck again.

After a cross from Winfred Amoah, the 34-year-old was in the right place in the center and converted the header to win (67′). In the end, Leoben trembles its way to success as Grosse puts a shot on the right post in stoppage time (90th + 1).

DSV Leoben celebrates its sixth win in a row. Rene Poms’ team has been undefeated in eleven league games. With 36 points, the Donawitzers are second. The gap to leader GAK, who has the small Graz derby against Sturm II ahead of them, is eight points. SV Ried remains fourth with 32 points.
