An impaired motorist got caught in the bag following trying to be overcautious in Sherbrooke, Estrie.
It was around 2 a.m. Friday morning that a vehicle caught the attention of police on patrol in the Galeries Quatre Saisons area.
“Patrollers noticed that the driver perfectly executed mandatory stops when there were none at intersections,” said the Sherbrooke police department.
When the police intercepted the motorist, they quickly noticed that he was intoxicated. The breathalyzer revealed that it reached more than two and a half times the legal limit.
The driver, a 28-year-old man, was arrested and released on a promise to appear. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was seized for 30 days.
