In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a chase took place between the Police of the Mons-Quévy zone and a drunk driver who wanted to take back his vehicle despite the ban by police officers.
“This is an individual who had drunk too much and who was spotted by a team because he was going to take his vehicle back. [Les policiers] asked him not to take it back; he pretended not to take it back then he quickly climbed in to leave “, explains Bruno Lheureux, divisional commissioner of the Mons-Quévy Police.
Seeing the individual leaving, the police patrol began a chase in the streets of Flénu. On his way, the drunk driver damages three parked vehicles and ends his race in the facade of a house on Avenue du Champ de Bataille.
Fortunately, no victim is to be deplored. The driver was taken to the police station directly.
