A Karachi-based mother-daughter duo has launched ‘Drum Circle’ entertainment sessions to help people overcome depression and give people an opportunity to forget their worries and enjoy life.
Dr. Shazia Musa, who is the founder of this entertainment called Drum Circle, while talking to Independent Urdu said that ‘I have been playing drums since childhood and I have a lot of experience in playing drums because of this hobby.’

According to him, ‘keeping this interest in mind, my daughter suggested to me that we should do something positive with the drum.’
According to Shazia Musa, ‘I didn’t know the meaning of drum circle but over time we came up with our own themes and started it with our friends which got a positive response.’
According to her, ‘We, the mother-daughter duo, held an hour-long session at Women of the World 2023 which went on longer as people were enjoying the drum circle.’
Pera Musa, daughter of Shazia Musa, says, ‘The aim of the drum circle was to entertain people as well as express their emotions through music, meaning that every beat reflects human emotions.’
