The officials stopped the 34-year-old from Steyr on Friday followingnoon in the village of Hörschlag. During a search of the vehicle, officers found drugs, paraphernalia and pepper spray. The man had a bag of crystal meth in his wallet, police said.

The 34-year-old was not allowed to continue. His car was parked on the spot and he was taken to the Leopoldschlag police station. A drug test carried out there was positive. The Steyrer hadn’t been drinking. During the subsequent examination, the doctor determined that he was unfit to drive.

The 34-year-old was forbidden to continue driving. He lost his driver’s license for the time being.
