The mercury is already dropping in several provinces of the Kingdom while a cold wave is announced from Monday, over a large part of the country, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) which has also established its forecasts for this Sunday. January 22, 2023:
– Fairly cold to cold weather with local frost on the reliefs, the Oriental, the South and the High plateaus.
– Scattered rains over the Oriental, the eastern Mediterranean and the Rif, the Saiss and the Middle Atlas.
– A few snowflakes on the peaks of the Middle Atlas and the Eastern Highlands.
– A few drops of drizzle on the northern plains.
– Foggy formations over the center and north of the southern provinces.
– Fairly strong gusts of wind on the central coasts.
– Minimum temperatures of around -3/3°C on the Atlas and its eastern slopes, the Rif and the Eastern Highlands, 10/15°C in the South and 4/10°C on the rest from the country.
– Temperatures of the day still falling.
– Fair to slightly rough seas on the Strait, slightly to rough in the Mediterranean and between Cap Spartel and Mehdia and rough to rough on the rest of the Atlantic coast.
