Drop for “Bye bye”: 3,222,000 viewers watched the show

In all, 3,222,000 viewers watched the Bye bye 2022. This is a decrease of 551,000 people compared to the 2021 edition and of 592,000 compared to the peak year of 2020, when the show was watched by 3,814,000 people.

The end-of-year review featuring Guylaine Tremblay, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse, François Bellefeuille, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais, Patrick Huard and several guests was, according to preliminary live listening data from Numéris, the most watched of the evening.

Infoman, which had established a mark, in 2021, with 3,047,000 viewers, also experienced a drop with 2,412,000. The review of the year hosted by Jean-René Dufort saw its audience fall by 635,000 viewers. The show had been watched by 3,038,000 people as of 2020.

New Year’s Day Live also experienced a small drop with 1,858,000 viewers compared to 1,993,000 last year. The end-of-year special, hosted by France Beaudoin, had a record year in 2020 with 1,998,000 viewers. It was the year of the first holiday lockdown.

See you next yearTV version of the radio comedy show See you next week, attracted 1,682,000 viewers in front of the small or big screen. A small decrease, if we compare to the 1,710,000 viewers of 2021. See you next year had set a record, in 2020, with 1,843,000 humor lovers.

Behind the scenes

The show Behind the scenes of Bye byewhich concluded this end-of-year evening, was seen by 1,406,000 people, a drop of 191,000 viewers compared to last year.

“Once once more, a large part of the population gathered around the programming offered on ICI TÉLÉ on December 31. I am very proud of this and extremely grateful to the teams of these programs who deployed all their talent and efforts to offer us moments of happiness. I also sincerely thank the public who are always there,” said Dany Meloul, general manager of Radio-Canada Television, in a press release.

These figures are the preliminary data compiled by the firm Numéris and related to listening on December 31. Confirmed data, including listening to digital recordings, will be released at a later date.
