There is concern over the disappearance of a two-year-old child in Puglia. Since late this morning there has been no news of the child who is missing in Locorotondo, in the Bari area. The mayor of the Puglia town, Antonio Bufano, also raised the alarm. Despite the immediate intervention and the incessant searches of the firefighters and the carabinieri, the municipal police and citizen volunteers, “the child – writes the mayor in a post – has not yet been found”.

The child is called Domenico Gallo and disappeared while playing in the Serralta district, in front of his home. The alarm was raised by his mother who noticed his absence around 11 am. The search has continued since then. “We invite all citizens to remain calm and – Bufano emphasizes – to actively collaborate with the police. If anyone has seen or has useful information about the missing child, please contact the Carabinieri command or the police immediately. Your cooperation is essential for the rapid recovery of the child”.

The municipality of Locorotondo has released two photos of the child: at the time of his disappearance he was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue checked shorts and blue sneakers with white rubber soles. The police are on site, carrying out the search also with the help of a drone and a helicopter. “Your cooperation is essential for the rapid recovery of the child – concluded the mayor – we thank you for your attention and for any help you can offer in this critical moment”.
