A day following Russia accused Ukraine of sending drones to attack buildings in Moscow, the governor of Krasnodar said a drone attack on a local oil refinery also caused a fire.
Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said the fire at the Afipsky Oil Refinery was quickly extinguished and there were no casualties, the Guardian reported.
The Afepsky refinery is reported to be not far from the Black Sea port of Novorossiisk and close to another refinery that has been attacked multiple times this month. The Belgorod town of Shebekino was also reported to have been shelled, injuring at least one person. The local governor also blamed the Kiev authorities for the attack.
There has been no word on who was behind the attack inside Russia, but Moscow has blamed Ukraine for numerous attacks in recent weeks, while ramping up bombing of Ukrainian cities. Ukraine has denied responsibility for the drone attack.
