The Association of Bloggers of Guinea (ABLOGUI) has launched a digital campaign to denounce the internet restrictions imposed by the transitional authorities.
Since November 24, 2023, access to social networks has been restricted in the country. To connect, citizens are forced to use VPNs. Which is a violation of citizens’ right to information.
Faced with this situation, Ablogui launched, from January 5, 2024, a campaign whose objective is to mobilize disenfranchised citizens around digital and non-digital actions in order to push the government to lift its restrictions.
To participate, web activists invite citizens to join this campaign through denunciation actions, among others: using the hashtag #DroitALinternet, taking and publishing a photo while holding this hashtag, using profile photos or campaign filters, and comment on government digital content with campaign images.
