Providing the precious sesame that will qualify them as drivers is the main objective sought by the high authorities of the CTRI who offered 200 young Gabonese people free driving lessons in Libreville.

The Gabonization of the transport sector requires many prerequisites, including obtaining a driving license. It is with this in mind that the Némico driving school, with its ten years of experience in the field of driving training, was chosen by the transition authorities to train future taxi drivers. After a careful pre-selection in greater Libreville, 200 candidates were selected.

« The selection criteria have been defined by the authorities. Our role is to introduce them to the basics of driving.”indicated Yves Ndong Essone, trainer, at the end of the theoretical course session.

The courses, which began on July 16, should last a month and a half. They are made up of theoretical and practical courses. A challenge that requires rigor, according to the instructions of the highest authorities.

“We are rigorous because this is training that will allow them to drive public transport. And you know that everything that is free is done with negligence. So the highest authorities have instructed us to note the hours of absence,” the trainer continued.

Addressing the beneficiaries, he explained to them the need to always have their notebooks when they take part in the courses. But above all to seize this opportunity which is offered to them free of charge by the CTRI.

« The training was offered to you by the transitional president, Brigadier General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. So help us help you. If you show that you came to have fun, you will have nothing at the end. The annotation that we will put in your notebook is what will determine your attendance. ” he said.

For better learning, the 200 candidates were divided into 5 sub-groups, according to well-defined class times, namely 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
