## Christmas Travel on Hold?

**Q: Minta, the advancements in driverless technology have many in awe. Yet, some remain apprehensive about their safety. What are your thoughts on this hesitancy?**

**A:** I understand people’s concerns. It’s natural to be cautious about new technology, especially when it involves something as significant as our safety on the roads. But I believe that the development of driverless technology is happening with rigorous safety testing and regulations in place.

**Q: Simon, how do you address those anxieties about driverless cars?**

**A:** Clarity is key.

People need to see and understand the technology behind these vehicles. We need open conversations about how they work, what safeguards are in place, and how we’re addressing potential risks. It’s also important for people to experience driverless technology firsthand, perhaps through simulations or pilot programs, to see how safe and efficient it can be.

**Q: Minta, people often worry about job losses due to automation. How do you envision the role of human drivers evolving in a world with increasingly autonomous vehicles?**

**A:** I don’t believe it’s a question of replacing human drivers entirely, but rather of evolving their roles.

Imagine a future where human drivers oversee fleets of autonomous vehicles, manage complex traffic situations, or focus on providing personalized customer service within these vehicles. It’s about humans and technology working together to create a safer and more efficient transportation system.

**Q: Simon, what ultimately drives your passion for advancing driverless technology?**

**A:** Ultimately,it’s about saving lives.

Human error is a major factor in road accidents. Driverless technology has the potential to drastically reduce these accidents, making our roads safer for everyone.
