A panel in Marrakech during the 4th Africa Investment Forum highlighted the need to expand bankable projects in renewable energy.

Under the theme “Renewable energy and natural capital: Accelerating green growth”, the discussions highlighted the importance of investing in bankable projects to boost economic growth and combat climate change.

The preparation of these projects, requiring a budget between $200 and $300 million, must target “transformational” projects to optimize available resources, improve value chains and accelerate growth.

Experts insisted on the imperative of increasing the “bankability” of projects, calling for the replication of past successes and the creation of a climate of confidence to attract more investors.
