On Thursday night, a driver († 33) in the canton of Solothurn lost control of his vehicle. At 1.05 a.m. he was on the main road from Egerkingen in the direction of Oberbuchsiten when he crossed the oncoming lane into a parking lot.
As a result, he collided with several correctly parked vehicles and was thrown out of the vehicle, reports the Solothurn police. He died at the accident site.
His passenger (24) was slightly injured and had to be taken to a hospital to be checked.
The police might not tell Blick whether the BMW had been tuned. A strut brace can be seen on an accident picture. This is often retrofitted when the chassis is screwed around.
The car had to be towed away with a total loss, there was material damage to other vehicles and the building. The police are looking for witnesses who can help clarify the accident. (of)
